Track List & Notes for Marsh Arms (an attempt at making 24 songs in 24 hours) :

Go easy on these. They're...sloppy. I made one every hour starting at 4:30 AM. I burned out by 6 PM. Oops!

  1. Wolf Marsh (2.4 MB)
My 4:30 AM wake-up song. Like a gentle alarm clock. At 4:30 AM this seemed like the best song ever.
  2. Bear Marsh (3.6 MB)
Your friend the spirit-bear has to leave you and go back to the spirit-world. Say goodbye as he sinks under the water and disappears!
  3. Horse Marsh (2 MB)
Good old MicroKorg and delay pedal!
  4. Goose Marsh (2.8 MB)
The geese have a long way to go on their migration-journey. Days and days of flying for hours. But they can make the best of it by singing this song as they fly!
  5. Deer Marsh (2 MB)
Ah Korg, what would I do without you? And this time I experimented with chords (gasp).
  6. Mouse Marsh (2.8 MB)
More aptly titled "Spider Marsh." I guess it's a song about a messed up relationship. It's like I'm a codependent spider-woman and I'm trapping my prey, who I want to love me, but I'm keeping him captive.
  7. Night Arms (3.2 MB)
Just...made for atmosphere. Improvised and doubletracked.
  8. Fire Arms (2.5 MB)
It's about a crazy ceremony held before a bunch of people go burn down a neighboring village. I was starting to get totally burned out...this marked the eighth hour of the project and I was getting into a phase of "why should I bother with this crazy project?" So I just wrote words really fast and made this up as I went along.
  9. Rock Arms (1.4 MB)
I was totally burned out here. Vocoder is often a cop-out for me.
  10. Wind Arms (2.7 MB)
This could've been more interesting. But I felt pretty awful by this point. Also, I just reused the drums from "Brighter Places."
  11. Water Arms (1.7 MB)
Again...this could've been okay. But I just didn't want to invest the time in it. Maybe I'll redo it.
  12. Wood Arms (3 MB)
I thought, "try to make a more manly song for a change." Hmm... Not so great. So I decided to call it quits.
